Eligibility Criteria

Normal Entry: A minimum of five ordinary level subjects including English and Mathematics with grade 'C' or better, and at least 2 'A' level passes in one of: Mathematics, Economics, Management of Business, Business studies, Accounting, Computing, Biology, Chemistry, Geography, History, Bible Knowledge or their equivalent. Special Entry: Candidates who completed HND in Accounting or Auditing (or equivalent) may apply for direct entry into Part II; candidates who completed National Diploma in Accounting or Auditing (or equivalent) may apply for direct entry into Part I. Mature Entry: Persons without appropriate academic qualifications but with suitable relevant post-school experience may be considered, subject to General Regulations; must be at least 25 years of age on the day of admission. Visiting School: academic background in Accounting/Financial Studies at diploma or degree level, or related fields (Auditing, Finance, Business Studies, Commerce, Economics, Law); admission normally at appropriate level based on prior learning and module equivalence.

Application process

Apply online at www.gzu.ac.zw: create an account, fill in personal/academic details, select your preferred programme, upload scanned certificates (academic, professional, birth) and national ID (block release/weekend school applicants also upload proof of employment), and pay a non-refundable application fee of US$10 (Undergraduate) or US$20 (Postgraduate) via Ecocash. Physical applications: obtain a form from the Admissions Office (or download from www.gzu.ac.zw), pay the same application fee, and submit with certified copies of certificates, birth certificate/national ID, and marriage certificate (where applicable) to: The Assistant Registrar, Admissions and Students Records, Great Zimbabwe University, P.O Box 1235, Masvingo (Tel +263 39 2266648/2266658/2266660/2266662, +263782780661/662, 08677004747) or the Harare Office (ZIMDEF House, Rotten Row off Mother Patrick Avenue, Office 14, Tel 08677004747 Ext 1282).
