Program description

This programme develops students’ understanding of metallurgical principles, including mineral processing, extractive metallurgy, materials characterisation, and plant operations. Students learn how to transform raw ores into valuable metals through chemical, physical, and thermal processes. With practical laboratory work and industry exposure, graduates are prepared for roles in mineral processing plants, metal fabrication, quality control, and optimisation of metallurgical operations.

Eligibility Criteria

5 ‘O’ Level passes including English Language, Mathematics, and a Science subject. Successful completion of the Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering or related discipline from ZSM.

Application process

Apply to ZSM for the Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering. Upon successful completion, apply to universities via special entry routes, submitting diploma records.
