Women's University in Africa (WUA)

Women’s University in Africa (WUA) is a private, non-profit, gender-focused university headquartered in Harare, Zimbabwe. Established in 2002 and granted its charter in 2004, the university was founded to address gender disparities in higher education and empower women through accessible, quality tertiary education. WUA operates from multiple campuses, including Harare (Manresa Park), Marondera, Bulawayo, and Kadoma, while also supporting learners through Open Distance Learning programmes in the region. Accredited by the Zimbabwe Council for Higher Education (ZIMCHE), the university offers diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, MPhil, and PhD programmes across faculties including Agricultural, Environmental and Health Sciences; Management and Entrepreneurial Sciences; and Social and Gender Transformative Sciences. With a predominantly female student population, WUA continues to promote gender equity, leadership development, research, and innovation to contribute to socio-economic transformation in Zimbabwe and beyond.
