The University of Zimbabwe (UZ) is the oldest and one of the leading public research universities in Zimbabwe, located in Mount Pleasant, Harare. Established in 1952, the university has played a central role in advancing higher education, research, and national development for more than seven decades. Operating from its main Mount Pleasant campus, UZ offers a comprehensive range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programmes across 11 faculties, covering disciplines such as agriculture, engineering, medicine, law, education, business, humanities, social sciences, and science. As a Zimbabwe Council for Higher Education (ZIMCHE)-accredited institution, the university is committed to academic excellence, innovation, and impactful research.
