United College of Education

United College of Education (UCE) is a government teacher-training institution located in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. Established in 1968 through the collaboration of various church groups, the college has developed into a leading centre for teacher education, with a particular strength in Special Needs and Inclusive Education. Operating from its main campus along Old Victoria Falls Road, approximately six kilometres from Bulawayo’s city centre, UCE provides a serene environment for academic and professional development. The college offers three-year Diploma in Education programmes in partnership with the University of Zimbabwe, including General Primary Education, Early Childhood Development (ECD), Inclusion and Special Educational Needs, and expanding Secondary Science Education programmes. Guided by Zimbabwe’s Education 5.0 philosophy, UCE continues to promote innovative teacher training, practical learning, and inclusive education to prepare competent educators for national development.
