Lupane State University (LSU)

Lupane State University (LSU) is a public university located in Lupane, Matabeleland North, Zimbabwe, operating across two campuses: the Main Campus in Lupane and the Bulawayo Campus. Established by an Act of Parliament in 2004 and opening in 2005, the university was created with a mandate to advance agricultural education and research in Zimbabwe's semi-arid regions. Since then, LSU has expanded into a multidisciplinary institution offering programmes in agricultural sciences, environmental and life sciences, engineering, commerce, humanities, social sciences, and the built environment. Guided by Zimbabwe's Education 5.0 philosophy, the university integrates teaching, research, innovation, industrialisation, and community service to address national and regional development challenges. Through its focus on sustainable agriculture, technology, entrepreneurship, and rural industrialisation, Lupane State University continues to develop skilled graduates and innovative solutions that contribute to Zimbabwe's socio-economic transformation.

LSU operates across 2 campuses: Main Campus in Lupane and Bulawayo Campus in Bulawayo.
