Harare Institute of Technology (HIT) is Zimbabwe's premier technology and innovation university, located in Belvedere, Harare, and operating from one main campus. Established in 1988 as the National Technical Institute and granted university status in 2005, HIT specialises in engineering, information technology, industrial sciences, business, and applied sciences. The university is recognised for its strong emphasis on research, innovation, industrialisation, and technology transfer, producing graduates equipped to drive Zimbabwe's knowledge-based economy.
