Belvedere Technical Teachers' College

Belvedere Technical Teachers' College (BTTC) is Zimbabwe's only specialised technical teacher training college, located in Belvedere, Harare, and operating from one main campus. Established in 1982, the college was created to address the country's need for qualified teachers in technical and vocational education. BTTC trains secondary school teachers in both academic and technical disciplines through diploma and degree programmes, working in partnership with the University of Zimbabwe and the Higher Education Examinations Council (HEXCO). The college has expanded its offerings to include science, mathematics, agriculture, and Open Distance and e-Learning (ODeL) programmes, while promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, and industrialisation through practical projects. With a capacity of over 2,000 students, BTTC provides a learner-centred environment that equips graduates with the knowledge, technical expertise, and teaching skills needed to support Zimbabwe's education and skills development goals.
