Arrupe Jesuit University (AJU)

Arrupe Jesuit University (AJU) is a fully accredited private, international Jesuit university located in Mount Pleasant, Harare, operating from one main campus. Established in 1994 as Arrupe College to provide philosophical and humanistic formation for young Jesuits, the institution became Arrupe Jesuit University in 2018. Named after Father Pedro Arrupe, former Superior General of the Society of Jesus, AJU is guided by the Ignatian tradition of academic excellence, ethical leadership, and service to society. The university offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in philosophy, education, management, engineering and ICT, and related disciplines, while promoting research, innovation, and integral human development. It also serves as a leading centre for philosophical and humanistic formation for religious congregations in Zimbabwe and neighbouring countries, preparing graduates to become competent, compassionate, and socially responsible leaders.
